Meet Douglas

I am a primary school teacher operating in Queensland, Australia, with a deep interest in software engineering, API integration, and automation systems.

My journey into technology began in the classroom. Confronted by the ever-growing administrative burden that educators face—from customising report comments to organising daily timetables and tracking student progression against the Australian Curriculum—I started writing scripts to save time.

What began as simple spreadsheets soon evolved into full automation tools, AI prompt frameworks, and classroom assistants. Today, I balance my time between face-to-face teaching and engineering software that helps teachers reclaim their hours, allowing them to focus on active student learning and engagement.

Educational Philosophy

I believe that technology in education should serve the pedagogy, never the other way around. My design philosophy revolves around three values:

• Practical Utility: Tools must solve real problems, be easy to adopt, and save teachers more time than they take to learn.
• Pedagogical Integrity: Digital resources and AI tools must align with proven cognitive science, curriculum guidelines, and ethical practices.
• Empowering Learning: Demystifying automation and computer science for students, preparing them for a future where technology is created, not just consumed.
